Welcome to our series of interviews dedicated to the perspectives of OCTÉ Lift professionals. Today, we are pleased to present the interview with our account manager, David Grimaldi, who shares his experience in the elevator industry and his role within OCTÉ Lift.
CAN YOU INTRODUCE YOURSELF?
My name is David Grimaldi, and I have been working in the elevator industry since 2001.
My career began with technical training, starting with a vocational baccalaureate (STI) followed by a two-year technical degree (BTS) in electrical engineering, and then a second BTS focused on customer relations. This dual expertise allowed me to combine technical know-how with strong business acumen.
Initially, I put my knowledge into practice as a maintenance technician. Later, I continued my career in the refurbishment of existing elevator systems, still working as a technician.
This experience gradually led me to specialize in the field, moving into technical support, eventually reaching the position of technical manager. In this role, I was responsible for conducting inspections and diagnostics on various installations.
These years of field experience remain invaluable to me today: they allow me to advise and guide my clients with relevance and precision on technical matters.
Wishing to broaden my professional horizons, I decided to put my skills to use in a new field. That is how, for the past year, I have held the position of Account Manager at OCTÉ Lift.
CAN YOU TELL US WHAT YOUR WORK CONSISTS OF?
As an account manager, my primary mission is to represent the company, highlighting its commitments, services, and product quality to our clients and key influencers. I place particular importance on the relational aspect of my role, ensuring I maintain strong and lasting relationships with our partners. To this end, I strive to provide tailored technical solutions adapted to each client’s specific needs.
My objective within the company is clear: to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by fostering a climate of trust, based on the transparency and reliability of our products and services.
What I find most exciting about this role is the opportunity to develop my technical skills through consulting. It’s a different, more human and proactive approach that allows me to enrich my expertise while effectively supporting our clients.
