Panoramic elevator

The panoramic elevator: a blend of design and mobility

The panoramic elevator stands out thanks to its fully or partially glazed cabin, offering an unobstructed view of the surrounding space. A true architectural feature, it transforms vertical travel into a visual experience, enhancing the building’s aesthetics while fulfilling its primary function of vertical mobility.

SECA designs custom panoramic elevators for hotels, shopping centers, luxury residences, museums, retail arcades, and any building looking to turn its elevator into a genuine architectural asset.

Technical specifications of the glass elevator

Structure and glazing

The cabin of a panoramic elevator is made of laminated safety glass panels, impact-resistant and compliant with EN 81-20 standards. The walls can be fully glazed (360°) or partially glazed on one or two sides. The supporting structure is made of painted steel or mirror-polished brushed stainless steel, or other materials.

Shaft and installation

The panoramic elevator can be installed in a glazed shaft (a self-supporting glass and metal structure visible from the outside). The self-supporting shaft is particularly well-suited to existing buildings where internal integration is not possible.

Lighting and Finishes

LED lighting recessed into the ceiling and cabin profiles highlights the transparency of the glazing and creates a distinctive atmosphere. Finishes (brushed stainless steel, chrome, lacquer) and flooring (stone, resin) are fully customizable.

Applications for panoramic elevators

  • Hotels: lobbies, atriums, and towers—creating a memorable passenger experience
  • Shopping centers: glass elevators visible from the shopping concourses
  • Luxury residences: an architectural feature that enhances property value
  • Museums and cultural institutions: discreet integration into heritage spaces
  • Office buildings: a visual statement reflecting the company’s dynamic nature
