Interview with our Business Development Manager
Welcome to our interview series highlighting the insights of OCTÉ Lift professionals. Today, we’re pleased to share an interview with our Business Development Manager, Jean-Yves Jilibert, who discusses his experience in the elevator industry and his role at OCTÉ Lift.

CAN YOU INTRODUCE YOURSELF?
My name is Jean-Yves Jilibert. I have worked in the elevator industry since 2019. My first professional experiences were abroad, initially in Germany and then in German-speaking Switzerland, where I held the position of Key Account Manager.
This period was particularly enriching, especially from a sales perspective and in terms of responsibilities, as I managed the portfolios of our most strategic clients.
Wanting to return to France, I joined OCTÉ Lift five years ago.
CAN YOU TELL US WHAT YOUR WORK CONSISTS OF?
Today, I am a Business Development Manager at OCTÉ Lift.
I started as a Business Developer and have gradually moved into a European role, now including sales management for OCTÉ Electric Czech.
My role is multifaceted:
Supplier for OCTÉ Electric Czech,
Integrator for the modernization of our solutions (MOD),
Distributor of components (toe guards, handrails, limiters, etc.).
My main responsibilities include:
Ensuring team cohesion across Europe,
Maintaining regular contact with our clients to seize every opportunity.
Among my most significant projects, I would mention:
Creating a marketplace for one of our major clients in the elevator industry,
Completely automating our sales administration process.
CAN YOU DESCRIBE LIFE AT OCTÉ LIFT?
At OCTÉ Lift, we work in a family-like and dynamic atmosphere. Our premises are welcoming, and even if I’m not at headquarters every day, it’s always a pleasure to see my colleagues and chat with them.

CAN YOU GIVE YOUR VISION OF THE ELEVATOR SECTOR?
The elevator industry is constantly evolving and adapting to new technologies. Connected and digital solutions are now commonplace.
Materials and manufacturing techniques are also progressing, offering increased performance.
Therefore, as sales professionals, we have a duty to:
Actively prospect for new clients,
Inform our current clients about the innovations and solutions available on the market.
