OCTÉ Lift is the historical subsidiary of the group, its activities are the design of partial or complete solutions for the modernisation and creation of lifts, as well as the distribution of these and other components for the lift.

Job description and principal roles

You will be responsible for overseeing company purchases of required products and services at the best prices and lead times, always in compliance with quality, standards and regulatory requirements.Your main tasks will be to:
1- Negotiating a purchase agreement:
– Market analysis;
– Analysis of requisitions and needs of company departments; verifying that these are appropriate;
– Exploring new markets whilst increasing the reliability of supply sources;
– Research, selection and assessment of suppliers;
– Creating a supplier portfolio;
– Launching consultations or invitations to tender;
– Assessing supplier proposals;
– Selection of the most competitive suppliers;
– Negotiating purchasing conditions: price, quality, lead time, volume;
– Drafting and signing the contract;
– Fostering the commercial relationship with suppliers, overseeing the proper execution of the contract;

2- Coordinating and managing suppliers:
– Carrying out regular business reviews on our suppliers;
– Assessing and managing supplier performance (monitoring supplier indicators, etc.);
– Dispute handling: quality, timing, prices or invoicing;
– Drawing up and communicating supplier-related statistics (turnover, order volume, TNS, savings, supplier indicators, etc.);
– Creating and updating item datasheets and supplier records;
– Notifying the supplier about updates (drawings, checklist, planning sheet, etc.);

3- Processing requisitions (RDM and general costs):
– Negotiating prices and lead times; proposing the most competitive bidder to the applicant;
– Processing the supplier order;
– Drawing up and communicating statistics related to the requests received (volume, savings, change refusals, corrections, etc.);
– Coordinating (monitoring, communication, proposal) market intelligence of lift components and raw materials.

Person specification

Higher education degree (purchasing or engineering school), with at least 3 years of experience in a purchasing department in a manufacturing environment.Good at negotiating and effective communicator.Thorough and analytical, you are adept at forming and developing partnerships. You have very good interpersonal skills, excellent ability to communicate your actions and results, team player.The keys to success in this role include: the ability to work independently and with dynamism; an inquiring mind; the ability to win over and convince your contacts; a laser focus on results.A solid command of English is essential.Experience in the Lifts industry would be an advantage.Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, One Note) and Outlook.

The position is based in Châteauneuf en Thymerais, in Eure-et-Loir.
